“The weaker-than-projected finish to 2019, mostly attributed to various macroeconomic headwinds which slowed Enterprise spending, is likely to spill into 2020, reducing growth,” said Baron Fung, Director at Dell’Oro Group. “The outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), whose emergence has been swift and unexpected, could introduce further supply and demand shocks to an already uncertain market, further impacting growth. However, stronger growth is projected for the Cloud server market, as the major Cloud service providers seeks to resume capacity expansion in existing and new data centers,” explained Fung.
